What we won't do.
A list of commitments, in plain language. If we ever break one of these, hold us to it.
The short version
Bursify is not a bank, not a law firm, not a collections agency. Anything below this paragraph is a thing we will not do, even if we could, even if it would make us more money.
We will never move your money.
Plaid is read-only. We do not have the technical ability to initiate transfers, pay bills, or close accounts. Recoveries land in your account directly from the source (your insurer, your state, your bank), never through us.
We will never sell or share your data.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to other fintech apps. The full list of who actually sees your data (our subprocessors for hosting, OCR, fax, mail) lives in our Privacy Policy.
We will never act as your lawyer.
Bursify drafts letters that cite the statute you are owed under. We do not represent you in court. If a case needs litigation, we hand you the documentation and a referral to a consumer-rights attorney.
We will never promise an outcome.
No guaranteed recovery. No raise your credit score by X points. No average savings of $Y plastered across the checkout page. We report what we actually recover, after the fact, on your own dashboard.
We will never charge a surprise fee.
Your subscription is the only fee we charge. No performance fee, no success fee, no cut of what you recover, no per-letter charge. Whatever we recover for you is yours in full. The flat monthly price covers monitoring, drafting, and filing across every engine.
We will never use dark patterns.
Cancellation is one click. No are-you-sure guilt screens, no hidden retention offers, no discount popup as you try to leave. Email support is staffed by humans, not a bot tree.
We will never auto-renew without warning.
Renewal reminders go out 7 days before the charge, with a one-click pause and a one-click cancel link in the same email. Annual plans get a 30-day heads-up.
We will never spam your providers.
One appeal per denial, escalated through the statutory channel. If a hospital, insurer, or bank flags us as abusive, the system rate-limits itself before they have to ask twice.
We will never use your case to train someone else's model.
Your documents and outcomes stay inside our environment. Aggregate, fully anonymized statistics (recovery rates by state, denial-code outcomes, average appeal turnaround) inform the product, but nothing identifying you ever leaves. More on this in Security and Privacy and How Bursify uses AI.
